I personally like this one :-) It's got two not so obvious key moves to get there...
The solution is:
1.Qxh6+! Kxh6 2.Bc1+! g5 (Kh7? 3.Rh1+ Qh5 4.Rxh5 mate) 3.Rh1+ Qh5 4.g4+! Nxg4 5.Rxh5+ Kxh5 6.Rh1+ Nh2 7.Rxh2+ Kg4 8. f3 mate. Alternatively: 4.Rxh5+ Kxh5 5.Rh1+ Kg4 6.Nd1!! Nxd5 7.f3 Nxf3 8.Nf2 also mates... (thanks for pointing this one out, Anson) |
