This position stems from a friendly game Dvoretsky - Katalymov, played in 1977 in
Riga. There are several other mating lines which I will not mention because black will be mated
much earlier than necessary. I will mention the mate in 5 line however. The main line is:
1.Qxd7+! Kxd7 2.Rc7+ Ke8 3.d7+! Rxd7 4.Rc8+ Bxc8 5.Rxc8+ Rd8 6.Bc6 mate (1... Rxd7 2.Rc8+ Bxc8 3.Rxc8+ Rd8 4.Bc6+ Kf8 5.Rxd8+ also mates). |
