The sacrifice on h6 is the easy part of this problem. How should white continue after
black accepts it?
1.Nxh6+ Black has to accept the sacrifice, because after 1... Kh8 2.Nxf7+ Kg8 3.Bh7 he is mated... 1... gxh6 2.Qxh6 Ng6 (after 2...Nxd3+?! white gets a good play, eg 3.Rxd3 Bxh4 4. Rg3+!) 3.Bxg6 fxg6 4.Qxg6+ Kh8 5.Qh6+ Kg8 6.Rd3 Kf7 7.b4 etc. and white wins back the sacrified material with interest... |
